This indenture made the twentieth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty five between James H. Witherspoon Esqr. Comr. Of the honorable court of Equity for Lancaster District at Lancaster Court House in the said State of the one part, and John Taylor of said district of the other part -

Whereas, Elisha Reeves and Bethnia Reeves, widow of James Reeves decd on or about the fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty four did exhibit this Bill of complaint in the court of Equity at Lancaster Court House in the said State against Phillip Richardson and Winney his wife, Amos Blackmon & Jane his wife, James Reeves, John Reeves, Bunum J. Blackmon, wife Elizabeth, Caroline Reeves, Mary Reeves, Dorcas Reeves, Thos. Reeves, Amey Reeves, and Bethenia Reeves, ____ of James Reeves late of said Dist. Deceased and the said cause, being at issue before the honorable court came on to be beard Novr. 28 - 1844 in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty four when the said court after full hearing thereof and mature deliberation in the premises, died order, Adjudge & decree that the said piece, parcal, plantation, or tract of land below described belonging to Est. James Reeves, decd should be sold at Pubic Auction by the comr. Of the said cout on the terms and for the purpose mentioned in this decretal, order, as by reference thereto in the registry of the said Court Will appear; and the said James H. Witherspoon as Comr. Of the said court after having duly acknowledged the said piece, parcal, plantation and tract of land for sale by public Auction on the sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty five did thus openly and according to the customs of Auctions, sell & disperse of the said piece, parcal, or tract of land below described unto the said John Taylor for the sum of Two hundred Dollars one cent he being at that price the highest bidder for the same - Now therefore this indenture Witherspoone, that the said James H. Witherspoone as Comr. Of the said Court under and by Vritue of the said decree and in consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars one cent secured to be paid him by the said John Taylor the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted Bargained, sold, and Released, and by these presents, doth grant, Bargain, Sell, and release unto the said John Taylor & his heirs and assigns, all that piece, parcel, plantation or tract of land Situate in the District of Lancaster, on both sides of the Rocky River Road, bounded in part by the Lancaster Road continuing one hundred and one acres nine a ___ adjoining lands of Elisha Garris, Susanah Baskins, Dudly Haile, John Taylor and also bounded by the twenty acre tract sold James C. M. Mullins by James Reeves having such form, marks, shapes & acres as a plot thereof marked (mark) annexed to the return of the ____ in alone all ______, a copy of which is ______ annex all referenced____ ____ to the said & annexed plot to ___ fully describe ______ said lands the twenty acres land off to C. M. Mullin on annexed plot is not __ conveyed nor sold - Together with all and Singular the hereditaments, Rights, Members, and appurtenances, whatsoever, to the said piece, parcel, plantation or tract of land belonging, or in anywise appertaining; and the Reversions & Remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and also all the Estate, Rights, title, Interest, dower, Possession, Property, benefits, claim and demand, whatsoever, both at law and Equity of the heirs and Representatives of the said James Reeves deceased and of all the parties to this such suit of all the persons rightfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part thereof, by from, or under them, or either of them; To have and to hold, the said piece, parcel, plantation or tract of land with its hereditaments, Privileges, and appurtenances unto the said John Taylor his heirs and assigns, to ____ this only proper _____ and ____ and thereof forever - In witness whereof, the said James H.
